Biographical Sketch of Senior Pastor John Howard Everette

Senior Pastor John Howard Everette is the son of Mary S. Lowery and James Everette of Sanford, NC. He is a graduate of Lee County High School and Central Carolina Community College with a Degree in Industrial Plant Maintenance. In 1997 he graduated from Sherrill’s University of Barber and Cosmetology where he received his Master Barber License for the State of NC. He has attended Carolina Bible College and Metropolitan Theological Seminary. His most recent achievement was that he received his Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies at Safe Haven Interdenominational Bible College and Training Institute. Pastor Howard is now employed with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC.

Pastor Everette has been a member of Faith, Victory and Freedom Ministries since 1989. It was then called Zion Hill United Church of Christ. He has served faithfully as an Armor Bearer for Apostle Halvester Gupton for 18 years. Apostle took Pastor Everette in and raised him as his son after a family tragedy. By serving the Man of God, Pastor was able to travel with Apostle to Accra, Ghana Africa, Hamilton Bermuda and London England, as well as throughout the United States.

While Serving, Pastor Everette answered the call and did his trial sermon in 1995. While being Minister he served faithfully on many committees including, Prison Ministry, Intercessory Prayer Team, and Men’s Fellowship. He became the youth Pastor and worked with the youth for several years. After serving in that capacity, he was Apostles Assistant Pastor until the Mantle was passed down to him in October 2, 2016. He became the Senior Pastor of Faith, Victory, and Freedom Cathedral Ministries. Pastor Everette served his way up to where he is today. Pastor Everette is married to the former Iris Taylor of Columbia, SC. They have been married for 21 years and counting. With this Union, they were blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, Alliyah J. Everette, and Carrington B. Everette.

Pastor Everette truly thanks God for placing Apostle Halvester Gupton in his life as his Leader, and as his “Dad” and raising him up to be the man he is today. Pastor Everette is a true Man of God, and truly loves the Lord with ALL his heart. One thing to know about Pastor Everette is that he doesn’t mind praising GOD! He is an advocate of family values and living a balanced life. He enjoys sports, going to the gym and being around his family.
